Biography
Dustin grew up on a small farm in the Hoosier state, but has spent the last few years living in one of the world's largest and fastest growing cities. From 2014 to 2016 Dustin worked for a small social development consulting firm in New Delhi, India. During this time he led and contributed to research on key development challenges including public health, education, gender discrimination, bonded labor, sanitation and others.
Dustin received a Master of Public Health from Aix-Marseille University in southern France. The program culminated in an internship in the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago, Chile. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Spanish and French from Franklin College.
Through professional work and personal experience in India, Europe, Latin America Dustin has seen the impacts of urbanization and he believes it is one of the key global trends shaping the 21st century. Dustin's research will contribute to the understanding of urbanization, its factors and consequences in the context of both the United States and developing countries.
Dustin likes being outdoors, reading and exploring new places.
Dustin graduated in 2022, and he’s now working for Smart Growth America in Washington D.C.
