Biography

Darian Krasner is a social worker who is interested in the population of veterans within the regard of opioid addiction, as well as sexual violence prevention and mental health counseling with an emphasis in trauma in the mental health disparities of women of color in the military. Darian was born in Boston Massachusetts and relocated to New Orleans at the age of 12 where she was shown the southern way of living. At the age of 17 she moved out of her parents' home, finished high school at 18 and then pursued her first degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated at the age of 21. She then proceeded to get her masters in social work at the age of 22.

 

Darian wanted to be a social worker and chose this is her field because of her previous experience with her own trauma and she wants to be a helping hand for those who do not feel as if they have anyone to talk to or relate to. Darian wants to become a therapist to understand the inner workings of the mind and how to help people effectively heal from the trauma.
