Sarah is a sociologist in the City, Culture and Community PhD program at Tulane University. Focusing on social deviance from a symbolic interaction perspective, Sarah’s research aims to expand our understanding of the meaning making that occurs within marginalized groups. With a passion for socialization processes, reciprocity and exchange, her current projects focus on homeless groups and their membership boundaries.
Sarah has been a member of Phi Kappa Phi since 2017 and is a 2017 McNair Scholar.
